Imperial Personnel are pleased to be recruiting for an exciting opportunity for Maintenance Electricians to join our client in Whitwell, S80 on a full-time and permanent basis.

Our client we’re working in partnership with for this role are an industry leading producer of Minerals & Limestone and are currently experiencing an increase in activity and a period of growth.

We’re seeking a suitably qualified and experienced maintenance electrician to form part of their electrical team on their successful and busy quarry site.


Requirements

Essential Requirements:
  • NVQ 3 Electrical Qualification.
  • Electrical panel fault finding Skills and electrical hands-on skills.
  • Familiar with working with Electrical plant and equipment in a hostile environment
  • Experience of trouble shooting and fault analysis
  • Maths, English and Computer Skills.
  • Used to working on own initiative.
  • Verbal & written communication skills (including report writing).
Desirable Requirements:
  • PLC and SCADA experience of preferably Mitsubishi PLC’s and Schneider SCADA systems.
  • Hazardous area working.



Pay

£35,000 - £45,000 depending on shift pattern, OTE Circa £60k inc bonuses and OT.


Hours and Days

Shift Patterns are:
4 days (12 hours) with the last 2 on-call then 4 off (£45k basic), OR
Monday to Friday (8 hours) (£35k basic)
Opportunity to work overtime and be paid for call outs.


Responsibilities

About the Role:
Reporting to the Electrical Engineer, the Maintenance Electrician will form an integral part of an electrical department, with the main focus on attending any breakdowns or issues that prevents the site from running to its full capacity.Day to day duties for this role will include planned preventative maintenance on various systems, fault finding on electrical circuits and PLC programs, assisting with new installations/ projects.

Main Duties:
  • Will be directly involved and responsible for the maintenance, and installation of machines, tools, and equipment, and in maintenance of buildings, grounds, and utility systems by performing the following duties personally, to ensure we provide the requirements of customer needs.
  • Pre-planned and reactive maintenance on a range of machinery and equipment on site, such as inspecting, testing, repairs and installation.
  • To understand electrical drawings for various panels and systems for use on breakdowns or additions.
