Imperial Personnel have an exciting opportunity for a Shift Leader to join our client in Worksop, S81 on a full-time and permanent basis.
Our client is a leading customers broker and specialise in handling customs formalities to ensure businesses can focus on growing across international markets and ensure smooth trade between the UK and EU post Brexit.
As a Customs Team Leader your role is to ensure the team are organised and lead effectively, whilst closing monitoring performance.
Requirements
· An understanding of customs procedures would be advantageous.
· People management skills.
· The ability to work within a multi-software work environment.
· Ability to meet deadlines and multi task.
Our client will ensure all relevant training is provided so you can carry out your duties.
Pay
Salary starts at £26,500 then moves to £27,000 on completion of a successful probation
Hours and Days
5 out of 7 Days – On a rotation shift pattern 6am – 2.30pm, 8.30am – 5.00pm, 1.30pm – 10:00pm
Responsibilities
· To ensure shifts is staffed adequately.
· To develop and assign tasks to staff whilst overseeing completion of tasks.
· Creating development opportunities for experienced staff members.
· Monitoring team performance and capture data to contribute to the development of staff.
· To prepare and complete customs entries for export and import.
· Accurately preparing data.
· Responding to customs queries such as duty rates, licences, documentation and commodity codes.
· Ensuring the changes to documents are effectively communicated to ensure updates are applied and the relevant documents are signed and consolidated.
· Maintaining compliance with current and evolving legislation and customs procedures.
