IT Engineer

Imperial Personnel have an exciting opportunity for an IT Engineer to join our client in Worksop, S81 on a full-time basis.

Our client is a leading customers broker and specialise in handling customs formalities to ensure businesses can focus on growing across international markets and ensure smooth trade between the UK and EU post Brexit.

As an IT Engineer you’ll be the first point of contact for addressing IT-related issues faced by end-users and will also help in supporting third-party software such as Amazon Connect, SharePoint, Azure etc. On-the-job training and mentoring will be provided.


· To manage technical support queries by providing technical support and guidance to our client’s users, responding to requests and queries, whilst completing them in a timely manner.

· Troubleshoot and diagnose system problems and deploy solutions.

· To liaise with third party and government systems to report and resolve issues that are reported.

· Managing company endpoints for tasks such as policy, configuration and application deployment as well as managing the Windows Image (OOBE).

· Patching and vulnerability management for OS, firmware, networks and other company applications.

· Management of Azure AD licenses, accounts and groups.

· Monitoring IT-dependent platforms investigating warnings/errors and escalating to subject matter experts (SME) as needed.

· Carrying out an analysis and identifying and reporting on risks to cyber security.

· Maintaining and improving network infrastructure and security.

· Creating reports for analysis by upper management and IT.

· Following and enforcing IT security policies, ISO 27001 security standards and cyber insurance.


· Understanding of Office 365 applications, Azure AD, & Intune administration.

· Knowledge of Cisco infrastructure tools and networking principles.

· Awareness of ITIL and cloud computing frameworks.

· Ability to diagnose, identify and resolve issues.

· Understanding of SQL & PowerShell, knowledge of other programming languages is advantageous.

On-the-job training and mentoring will be provided.

Our client is open to someone who doesn’t have prior formal experience in IT support but has a the passion for IT and is willing to put in the effort to acquire new skills.

Hours and Pay:

4 on 4 off (2 days – 7am to 7pm then 2 nights – 7pm to 7am).

£24,500 - £26,000 doe
